Coordinating help for Ukrainian refugees

WeHelp — "Evacuation to EU" — is a volunteer platform built to coordinate help for the Ukrainian refugee crisis in the EU. It matches refugees with accommodation, hosts, and shelters, supports evacuation, and brings experts together to solve the hard problems. Built in 2022 by 27 volunteers from across the globe.
Problem: In the middle of the refugee crisis, willing volunteers and people who need help both existed in large numbers — but the response was fragmented and uncoordinated. Existing organizations couldn't cope, coordination broke down into chaos, and many urgent issues stayed unresolved.
Solution: A platform to organize volunteer activity and link organizations together — matching refugees with accommodation and evacuation, and routing the biggest, hardest problems to experts who can solve them. The mission: be a trustful source that gives people hope and helps them through effective actions.
